Angels & Archangels...

Angels and archangels are celestial beings deeply rooted in various religious and mythological traditions. They are often considered messengers or servants of the divine. Angels are typically portrayed as ethereal, winged beings with a pure and radiant appearance. They are known for their role in delivering guidance, protection, and comfort to humans.

 

Archangels are a higher order of angels, often described as chief or leading angels. They are believed to have specific responsibilities and wield greater authority. Archangels are often associated with pivotal events and messages.

 

The hierarchy of angels, often referred to as the angelic hierarchy includes several orders or choirs of angels, with each choir having distinct roles and levels of proximity to the divine:

 

1. Seraphim: Seraphim are the highest order of angels. They are often depicted as having six wings and are closest to God, constantly praising and adoring Him.

 

2. Cherubim: Cherubim are often portrayed as angelic beings with four wings and a deep connection to divine wisdom. They are guardians and bearers of knowledge and are associated with protecting sacred spaces.

 

3. Thrones: Thrones are known for their role in carrying out God's divine justice. They are depicted as wheels within wheels, symbolizing their celestial mobility and the intricacies of God's plan.

 

4. Dominions: Dominions are believed to oversee lower orders of angels and serve as intermediaries between the heavenly realms and the earthly world. They help establish order and maintain cosmic harmony.

 

5. Virtues: Virtues are associated with miracles, providing blessings and graces to the world. They are responsible for maintaining the natural order and governing the laws of the universe.

 

6. Powers: Powers are often seen as warrior angels, responsible for battling evil forces and maintaining cosmic balance. They protect the divine order against malevolent entities.

 

7. Principalities: Principalities have a role in guiding and supervising groups, nations, or communities. They work to ensure that God's divine plan is carried out in the human world.

 

8. Archangels: Archangels are prominent messengers who interact directly with humanity. They are responsible for conveying important divine messages.

 

9. Angels: The lowest order of angels, simply called "angels," are closest to humans. They serve as guardian angels, protecting and guiding individuals in their daily lives.

Archangel Michael

Michael is perhaps the most well-known of the archangels and is often depicted as a warrior angel. He is associated with protection, courage, and the defeat of evil. Michael is believed to lead the heavenly army against the forces of darkness and is a symbol of strength and justice.

   - Color: Blue or Purple

   - Called for: Protection, courage, strength, and guidance in times of fear or danger.

   - How to connect: Visualize or speak Michael's name when seeking protection and strength. 

Archangel Raphael

Raphael is known as the angel of healing. He is believed to have the power to heal physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments. Raphael is often invoked for assistance in times of illness or distress and is seen as a source of divine healing energy.

  - Color: Green

   - Called for: Healing, physical and emotional well-being, and guidance in matters of health.

   - How to connect: Meditate on the color green and imagine its healing energy surrounding you. Ask Raphael for healing and visualize a green light enveloping you.

Archangel Uriel

Uriel is associated with wisdom and enlightenment. He is often depicted as an angel who illuminates the path of knowledge and helps individuals gain insight and understanding. Uriel is considered the angel of wisdom and divine wisdom.

   - Color: Gold or Yellow

   - Called for: Wisdom, insight, and guidance in times of decision-making and intellectual pursuits.

   - How to connect: Light a yellow candle and seek Uriel's assistance when you need clarity of thought and illumination. Keep a journal for wisdom received.

Archangel Chamuel

Chamuel is associated with love and relationships. He helps people find and nurture loving and harmonious relationships, whether in friendships, family, or romantic partnerships. Chamuel is often called upon for guidance in matters of the heart.

   - Color: Rose, Pink or Green

   - Called for: Love, relationships, and finding lost items or connections.

   - How to connect: Light a pink or green candle and invoke Chamuel's presence when seeking to strengthen or mend relationships. Ask for assistance in finding lost objects or connections.

Archangel Zadkiel

Zadkiel is often associated with mercy and forgiveness. He is believed to help individuals find compassion, release guilt, and seek divine forgiveness. Zadkiel assists in the process of letting go of negative emotions, transform and transmute emotions.

   - Color: Purple or Deep Blue

   - Called for: Forgiveness, emotional healing, and releasing negative emotions.

   - How to connect: Meditate on the color purple (la llama violeta)  and ask Zadkiel to help you let go of any emotional burdens or resentments. Journaling can help in the forgiveness process.

Archangel Jophiel

Jophiel is sometimes referred to as the angel of beauty and illumination. Is associated with the feminine energy and helps people see the beauty and positivity in life, even in challenging circumstances. Jophiel encourages a positive and optimistic outlook.

   - Color: Rose or Yellow

   - Called for: Beauty, joy, and positive outlook on life, especially in situations of stress or negativity.

   - How to connect: Surround yourself with pink or yellow flowers, or light a pink candle to invoke Jophiel. Seek guidance when you need to shift your perspective positively.

Archangel Gabriel

Gabriel is often seen as a messenger angel. In Christian tradition, he played a crucial role in delivering important messages from God, such as announcing the birth of Jesus to the Virgin Mary. Gabriel is associated with communication, revelation, and guidance.

   - Color: White or Copper

   - Called for: Communication, creativity, and guidance in matters related to messages and announcements.

   - How to connect: Light a white candle and invoke Gabriel's presence when seeking clarity or inspiration. Keep a journal to record your insights.

Remember that working with archangels is a personal and spiritual practice. Connecting with them can involve meditation, visualization, or simply asking for their help in your thoughts. The colors mentioned are often associated with the archangels in terms of energy and can be used as visual aids during meditation or rituals.
